This should really fix a major source of crashes (according to the crash reports you are already sending us). Thanks for helping us making Punakea solid!

Punakea 1.1.1 Released

We just released a stable version of our last testing version of Punakea, v1.1.1. It fixes another bug, otherwise it's the same as 1.1.1RC2.

Thanks to thinkilm and jkr (and all the other nameless testers!) for running our new folder import feature through its paces, it now works as it was supposed to!

Other new features in 1.1.1 are the global tagging hotkey for Path Finder and the small adjustment regarding the orange back arrow behavior ... now go get Punakea v1.1.1!

Import Your Folder Structure to Punakea Tags

In our new testing version Punakea v1.1.1RC1, we have added another nifty feature that you have often requested: Importing your folder structure into Punakea. Well, now it's possible! Go to File->Import Folder... and select the folder you want to import. What Punakea will do is tag all files in this folder (and sub-folders) - all files will get the name of the folder you selected as tag, as well as all nested folders. This means that if you import the folder "Documents", which contains the file "todo.txt" and the folder "new docs" with the document "stuff.doc", you will end up with two new tags in Punakea. "todo.txt" will be tagged "Documents" and "stuff.doc" will be tagged "new docs, Documents". Of course Punakea can also move the imported files to the managed files folder automatically if you want to.

Other than that, you can now use the Tagger hotkey in Cocoatech's Path Finder and we fixed some more bugs and crashes.

Please test the new import features, and if we do not hear any complaints, a final release will follow shortly!

Access Tagged Files Using URLs - in Punakea 1.1

Punakea is now 1.1 - with some major improvements! Besides the already mentioned stability improvements and available tag statistics, we have built in another feature you requested: accessing Punakea using URLs.
Have fun with Punakea 1.1!

Major Rewrite of Punakea Internals

We just released a new version of Punakea for you to test. Not many new features this time - there are some more stats about tags (just as promised in our forum). There is also a hidden feature requested by some of you, but we'll only tell you once we release the final v1.1....

The real improvements this time are under the hood - we had to postpone the rewrite of a crash-prone component time and time again, but now we have finally done it.... we are positive that this will make Punakea a lot more stable! If you have still problems, please tell us by leaving a comment.

On a side-note, thanks to all of you who send in crash-reports, this really helps us to track down bugs - and we read all of them! Most of you also put in the actions that led to the crash - something that helps us even more, so thanks to all of you!

Fixing a Bookmark Tagging Issue

A new release shortly after 1.0.6 - just a fix for an issue with tagging bookmarks (thanks to Gerben for bringing this to our attention quickly!). Grab it here.
