Sidebar on the bottom

I love the sidebar, but since I've got my Dock on the right, the only option for me is the left side of the screen. On that side, it frequently pops up accidentally when I'm using Gmail.

It'd be lovely to be able to put the "sidebar" on the bottom of the screen. Of course, that's probably also complex since the sidebar is designed to be on the side.

Anyway, if you've got nothing better to do than to customize Punakea for my particular computer, I'd like a bottom "sidebar." (actually, I only ever use the dropbox on the sidebar, so that's all I really want).
